Avinash Kaushik: Tracking Non-Ecommerce Sites
Submitted by Adam King on 22 January, 2008 - 22:58
Avinash Kaushik talks in this video about measuring success for sites that are content-based and don't necessarily sell anything (Non-Ecommerce Sites). He shows how to use Google Analytics as a tool to provide insight into whether your content-based website is performing well
Here, Avinash talks about using measurements for:
- Loyalty (how many times did a visitor return to your site) and the benefits of analysing distribution
- Recency (how many days does it take for your visitors to return to your site)
- Length of Visit / Time on Site (the importance of looking at the distribution)
- Depth of Visit / Page Views per Visit (how much content do people consume in an average session?)
- Surveys (he returns to the trinity mindset - this feature is not include with Google Analytics, yet)
I hope you enjoy this brief Google video...

hello Adam, thanks for your opinion. nowadays it is also necessary to track non-ecommerce site. because the number of this type of site is increasing. the measurements seems logical to me.
