For this short post, I'm going to assume you have a site that targets an international audience, rather than a local or country specific community. If so, you will be wanting visitors to find you globally, or at least in a specific set of countries.
How do you do that, especially when the search engines appear to be making that very hard indeed via Geolocation?
The team at SEO Tutorials have some answers. And good ones.
Go over to their new site, now, and read their article on "How to get your website showing up in other countries". It includes some very good tips to counter the effects of geolocation.
This is a subject close to my heart since I'm a partner in the international English language learning website UsingEnglish.com. We host in the UK but, for obvious reasons, would prefer that those outside of the UK saw it too.
