It was reported in today’s Independent that a group of prisoners in the UK are suing the Home Office because ‘they were forced to stop taking drugs in jail’.
Hmmm. I don’t know if that strikes you as odd but it sure does me!
What is more, said prisoners have received an ‘unspecified settlement’ in an out-of-court settlement.
Is it just me or has this world gone P.C. mad?
Prisoners reside at Her Majesty’s Pleasure only because they have been judged to have committed a crime. These prisoners are also drug users, which in itself is also a crime where Heroin is concerned. Why shouldn’t they expect to go ‘cold turkey’ when placed in an establishment which tries to punish criminal behaviour?
